The Césars 2022: an incredible ceremony!

,

First of all, we'd like to congratulate all the nominees and winners from the 47th César Awards Ceremony.

Lost Illusions: a great success!
Released last October, the film, directed by Xavier Giannoli, was seen by almost 880,000 viewers in theaters. Huge congratulations go to the teams behind Lost Illusions, which won seven awards from its 15 nominations:

Best Film
Best Actor in a Supporting Role
Most Promising Actor
Best Adaptation
Best Costume Design
Best Production Design
Best Cinematography
This array of awards reflects the enormous amount of work that went into each and every shot.

Valérie Lemercier, an incredible actress!
After enchanting audiences and critics alike, Valérie Lemercier won the César for Best Actress for her incredible performance in Aline.

An emotional ceremony
The thoughts of all attendees and viewers were obviously with Gaspard Ulliel and his loved ones. His loss left an indelible mark on this ceremony and will be felt by the entire French film industry for a long time to come.

Another loss that marked this year’s Césars was that of Jean-Paul Belmondo. We were very proud to have participated in the beautiful tribute to Jean-Paul Belmondo.

The magnificent and popular actor, whose nickname was Bebel, collaborated with Gaumont on seven timeless films in which he delivered performances no one else ever could: THE BRAIN, GREED IN THE SUN, THE THIEF OF PARIS, THE MARRIED COUPLE OF THE YEAR TWO, COP OR HOOD, LE GUIGNOLO and ACE OF ACES.

A great moment from the event was when Omar Sy celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his César win for The Intouchables.

Another nod goes, obviously, to the teams behind Hold Me Tight and The Accusation, which lit up theater screens in 2021.
